As a John L. Scott broker, my mission is transactional excellence and client satisfaction. That means I work tirelessly to make your home buying or selling process as efficient, stress-free and lucrative for you as possible.
Hi, I’m Maria Barrett, a licensed Real Estate Broker proudly serving the Greater Eastside of King County and the Snoqualmie Valley, including Issaquah, Sammamish, Redmond, Bellevue, Kirkland, Carnation, Duvall, Fall City, Snoqualmie, and North Bend. My mission is simple: put my clients first. Whether you’re buying your first home, investing, or selling a luxury property, I bring a unique combination of negotiation expertise, market analytics, and clear communication to every transaction.
I hold multiple professional designations, including SRES (Senior Real Estate Specialist) and CNE (Certified Negotiation Expert), along with John L. Scott certifications as a Certified Buyer Representation Specialist®, Certified Seller Marketing Specialist®, and Certified Open House Specialist®. These credentials reflect my commitment to delivering exceptional service and results.
Over the years, I’ve been honored with the Presidential Award (2021, 2023, 2024) and the Presidential Elite Award (2022, 2025), recognizing my dedication and performance in real estate.
Community is at the heart of everything I do. I’m an active member of the John L. Scott Foundation, Carnation and Duvall Chambers of Commerce, and have volunteered for Habitat for Humanity for over 20 years, organizing annual sales on the Sammamish Plateau with Faith United Church. I also support HopeLink, Issaquah/Sammamish Young Life, and the Seattle Brain Cancer Walk, and served as a past board member for End Brain Cancer. Every fall, I organize a community Food Drive in Carnation, along with a Toy Drive and Holiday Lights Contest during the holidays.
When I’m not helping clients, you’ll find me gardening, traveling, antiquing, researching family genealogy, and spending time with my family.
The Greater Eastside and the Snoqualmie Valley offer incredible lifestyle opportunities, from hiking Tiger Mountain, exploring Cougar Mountain Regional Wildland Park, and kayaking on Lake Sammamish to Snoqualmie Valley gems like:
--Hiking the Snoqualmie Valley Trail
--Exploring Tolt McDonald Park and its suspension walk bridge
--Saints and Scholars in Snoqualmie
--Aroma Coffee Co in Fall City
--The Restaurant and Terrace at Salish Lodge in Snoqualmie
And for dining in Issaquah, I recommend WildFin American Grill, Fins Bistro, and Jak’s Grill—local favorites that showcase the best of our community.
Before real estate, I worked at the Swedish Neuroscience Institute, managing BrainCancer.org and its social media presence, helping patients and families worldwide find advanced brain tumor treatment. I also coordinated with the Swedish Foundation for the Seattle Brain Cancer Walk. Prior to that, I owned Imagine That!, a retail company, and earlier in my career, I was an elementary and middle school teacher in Oregon.
Let’s talk about your real estate goals!
